The kits
Kits hold the reusable gear plus printed guides. Fresh ingredients like milk, cabbage, soybeans and flour come from your local shop, and every guide lists exactly what to buy. Each kit page shows "You'll also need" beside the price.
Fresh ingredients go off in the post, and what you buy locally is fresher and cheaper. It also means the gear keeps working long after the first batch.
Fresh ricotta (Soft Cheese Kit) and labneh (Yoghurt & Labneh Kit) are the easiest wins. Sauerkraut is the easiest ferment. The kit comparison shows time and difficulty side by side.
It fits standard wide-mouth jars. Check that the lid screws on firmly before you start your first batch.
Yes, every piece. Each kit page has care notes on cleaning and storing it.
The gear comes in kits, because the guide is what makes it work. With any kit order you can add a few extras: a spare cloth pack, airlock spares and a paneer press mould. They ride in the same box, so there's no extra postage.
Refill packs (spice blends, rennet, cultures, nigari and dried starter) are coming. Join the waitlist on any kit page and we'll email you when they launch.

We pack within 2 business days. Perth metro usually arrives 1–3 business days after that; the rest of Australia 2–5 business days. You'll get tracking by email.
Yes. We wrap it in protective packing and post it in a box rather than a satchel. If it ever arrives damaged, send us a photo and we'll replace it.
Guides & food safety
Yes, all ten are free on each kit's page. Read them through first; buy the kit when you're ready.
A big-text, one-step-at-a-time view for when your hands are covered in curd. It has built-in timers and keeps your phone screen on where your browser allows it. Open it from the Method heading of any guide.
Every guide has a troubleshooting table, and most problems are fixable. If you're stuck, send us a photo through the batch help form.
Yes, when you follow the basics: clean gear, the right amount of salt, ferments kept under brine, and the fridge once they're ready. Our Before you start page covers the good and bad signs. When in doubt, throw it out.
Returns & faulty items
Email us a photo within 14 days and we'll replace it or refund you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.
Unopened kits can be returned within 30 days for a refund of the kit price. Email us first and we'll send instructions.
